The desire to connect with others and form connections is backed up by biological evidence and has considerable evolutionary significance. The intrinsic propensity emphasizes the significance of relationships for a person's life on all levels: physiologically, psychologically, and in terms of evolutionary history. The tendency we had to form intimate bonds proved to be adaptive, and it still does. Additionally, dating apps like "Tinder" and "Bumble" provide platforms for forming romantic relationships and meeting potential partners.

Social Support

Humans have a fundamental need to interact with one another. Hence, regardless of whether we want to share our joy over some wonderful news or our anguish with someone, we have a sense of support when we believe that someone is actually there to lend an attentive ear or some sound counsel. Also, the presence of a social network, and more specifically a spouse or an intimate group of friends, has been shown to significantly improve one's sense of well-being.

Even though there have been studies that have found the opposite to be true in recent years, other research continue to demonstrate that people who are in healthy relationships are able to live longer lives.

Having positive relationships allows for more quality time spent with friends and family

We, as humans, are animals that thrive in communities. Being in the company of other people comes naturally to us, and when our social connections are strong, we look forward to the time we get to spend with those individuals. People with whom you have healthy relationships will keep you company when you are feeling lonely, make you feel good about yourself, and lend a supportive ear when you want to talk about something that is bothering you when you want to talk about something that is bothering you, healthy relationships will do all of these things.
